Article 14
Non-resident Nepalese citizenship can be granted
A person who has acquired the citizenship of a foreign country, who resided in a country other than a member state of the South Asian Regional Cooperation Organization, or who has acquired the citizenship of a foreign country after being a citizen of Nepal on the basis of his or her father or mother, brother or sister-in-law. Non-residential citizenship of Nepal can be granted in order to enjoy economic, social and cultural rights according to the federal law.
